8 Week Picture Book Course - Art Est Leichhardt

Hi Everyone,

I am running an Introduction to Children's Picture Books at Art Est in Leichhardt next week. It's an 8-week evening course on the process of illustrating a picture book, learning about the industry, pacing a manuscript, exploration of mediums, colour and illustration tips and techniques.

When I first started my journey into illustrating picture books, I attended a Children's Book Illustration Course run by Donna Rawlings and Wayne Harris in Sydney. This course had a substantial impact on my approach with publishers and my ability to illustrate my first picture book.
Now ten years on, close to sixty titles published here in Australia and overseas, I want to share my knowledge and industry experience with you in hopes it will also get you started on your journey into the fabulous world of children's picture books.
